The Centre for Sustainable Dryland Ecosystems and Societies has organized for a one day seminar on “Delivering Technologies to Communities and Counties through University/Research /Extension Partnership Model”.  The seminar will be held on 1st August, 2013 at the Pride Inn Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi.

The objectives of the seminar are:

i. To Share the experiences from University/Research Institutes/National Government Extension Delivery Models in Kenya

ii. To learn from the US Land Grant University led Extension Model‐ example of Colorado State University

iii. To explore opportunities for University/Research/ Extension partnerships for Engagement with Communities and County Governments.

Some of the visiting Professors from Colorado State University participating in the Seminar include:

1. Lou Swanson, Vice President for Engagement and Director of CSU Extension; Professor of Sociology

2. Joyce Berry, Dean of the Warner College of Natural Resources, and Professor of Natural Resources.

3. Craig Beyrouty, Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, and Professor of Soil Science
