The Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya, in collaboration with colleagues from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, is delighted to announce an international conference on the theme: “Africanizing Education through Curriculum Reimagining.”

We invite educators, researchers, policymakers, graduate students and other community stakeholders to contribute papers that explore novel approaches to integrating African perspectives into educational curricula. This conference aims to foster dialogue, share research findings, policy, pedagogical ideas and practices and collaborate on strategies for reimagining curricula that reflect the rich heritage and diverse cultures of Africa. Additionally, the conference intends to bring together a diverse group of educators, scholars, policymakers, and students to discuss and share innovative strategies for incorporating and centering African perspectives in educational curricula. Our goal is to build a collaborative platform for rethinking and reconstructing curricula that truly reflect Africa’s comprehensive knowledges, heritage and diverse cultures.
