The globally recognized PR course that targets professionals in the communication sector requires 48 hours of class, which have been spread through 6 months. CIPR University of Nairobi classes will commence on March 7, 2020.

Speaking during the launch, the UoN Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama applauded the University for taking leadership in formulating change and growth in the PR sector in Eastern and Central Africa. Being one among the three accredited centres in Africa, the UoN will make a great impact in shaping the communication industry and giving voice to PR practitioners in the boardroom.

Anne Gichuhi, UoN’s Course lead gave an overview of the course clearly elaborating the CIPR Certificate course that incorporates digital communication, and is equivalent to Kenya’s undergraduate degree, while the Professional Diploma is equal to a Masters in Kenya. She said that the course teaches on Strategy, Thought leadership and Monitoring and Evaluation. She urged the attendants to sign up for the course that will change their perception of Public Relations globally and earn them a seat in the boardrooms.

CIPR Alumni also spoke during the launch and most of them echoed the same call, ‘You will not regret investing in CIPR. This is a course that will give you a different perception of Communication. A PR practitioner who can talk in figures will definitely get the CEO’s attention.’
